IMPLICAÇÕES PROPOSITIVAS DA VOCAÇÃO MISSIONÁRIA NO “MANIFESTO DE NAZARÉ” EM LUCAS 4.18,19

Every believer has a calling: to follow God's mission fully accomplished by Jesus of Nazareth. In this essay, the author sought to develop a closer look at the well-known “Manifesto of Nazareth” that Luke records in his Gospel (4:18,19) as a model of the essence and scope of the Christian vocation as a missionary church. The perspective presented is that the believer has an intentional goal in his mission, namely four groups: “poor, captives, blind and oppressed” and to these it is necessary to announce the “acceptable year of the Lord”, namely the “Year of the Lord”. Year of Jubilee” taken from Leviticus 25. Jesus at the beginning of his ministry, in the peculiarity of Luke's perspective based on Galilee, focuses his vision of the missional call on his proclamation that the time of the Jubilee had already arrived, and the marks of that time would be “freedom and love”. When one thinks of vocation, one also sees these elements of announcing this time of balance between pending issues with the past and forgiveness in the present, since in the Jubilee debts were forgiven, lands returned to their former owners and the enslaved were freed. The author understands vocation as something that comes from God and reaches hearts, this when realities of Scripture such as Isaiah 61.1-3 become reality in Jesus, in Luke 4.18,19.
